Last week my husband brought home seven varieties of apples. They’ve been sitting around my kitchen, EVERYWHERE, looking beautiful. So today we decided that we’re going to try some new apple recipe each evening. Last night we had apples baked in Cointreau, a recipe I’ll post later this afternoon.

Hi. I also have an old EquiFlo dehydrator; I want to make fruit leathers, but I don’t know what to line the screens with (there were no liners for this use that came with the dehydrator). I’ve heard I can use plastic to line them, but then I’ve heard it doesn’t work. What have you used?

Dian, I don’t have the liners for making fruit leather either. I like the cutting mats that are thin plastic. My favorite place to get those is IKEA, but lots of stores have them now. Those cutting mats are fairly close in size to the EquiFlo trays.
