Running behind? Don’t underestimate the power of the CROCKPOT!
I’m still thinking about last minute turkey strategies. If you’re running behind and you know that you won’t have time between today and tomorrow’s Thanksgiving dinner, here is one more quick fix. (Okay, quick is a relative term….this will accomplish what you want to accomplish while you sleep!)

Is it time to push the Thanksgiving panic button NOW?
I’m not big on pushing the panic button ever, but it might be time to LOCATE the panic button just in case.
No, it’s not too late to thaw your frozen turkey. It’s not too late to assemble sweet potatos or make cheesy potato casserole. It’s not even too late to make homemade cranberry relish. So, [...]

Another recipe for decadent Cappucino Truffles
I recently had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Faye, a teenager who lives in Barb’s hometown, and who has spent some time hanging out with Barb. Mention was made on Facebook of the legendary truffles that Faye and her family make around the holidays, and I begged an introduction both to [...]

I haven’t done a thing to get ready for Thanksgiving. Is it time to panic yet?
This year seems to be exceptionally busy for my family. Usually I cook for several days leading up to Thanksgiving, but that’s not happening (at least not yet) this year. So is it time to panic? Nope. Not yet.

Chestnut Dressing
This weekend, I received an email from my young friend, Molly. Molly is the same age as my oldest son and she is already a great cook. She offered to share two of her signature recipes for the Thanksgiving season with us and I’m delighted! Since I’ve never made Chestnut Dressing to accompany a Thanksgiving [...]

All things Thanksgiving:
Note: We originally published this last November, and decided to bring it back, because it is such a good clearing-house of all kinds of helpful things as you prepare for Thanksgiving. Keep checking back, because we’ll be adding new recipes and posts as we get closer. And as always, if there is some wonderful thing [...]

Reprise of two favorite fall recipes
A couple of my guys suggested that for those of you who have only recently started visiting My Sister’s Kitchen, we should point you to a couple of favorite fall recipes. You might not have been here when they were first published. He’s right. I’d hate to have you miss some of these great tastes [...]

Go visit my friend…
I want to commend (again) to you all a wonderful food blog written by Kate in the Kitchen. The things that taste good to Kate must be nearly identical to the things that taste great to us; almost every recipe that Kate posts inspires me and sets me drooling.
This month, Kate is participating in NaBloPoMo [...]
