And then there’s Nate. Nate’s good at just about everything he puts his hand to. Nate, my second son, loves to cook and has his own cooking blog. The other corner of the web that Nate spends a TON of time in is a site call Instructables. This is a site about how to do, create, fix, invent ANYTHING. This is totally up Nate’s alley because he’s the kid who could program the VCR when he was 4. He’s the kid who can use parts from old appliances to make entirely new appliances. If you ever looked at your old Chevy that wasn’t going to go anywhere until it had a new transmission and thought, “I bet I could make a GREAT pizza oven out of this thing,” then WonderBoy is the guy you need to call.
Recently, Nate posted “How to Cook” on the Instructable site. The category was fairly broad, but it’s a great start.
The other thing I want to share with you is how Nate solved a problem for me. I needed someplace to stick my recipe cards while I was cooking. Some of my recipes are so sticky from years of use, they could practically make themselves!
This is a GIANT refrigerator magnet that I can tack my recipes to so that they stay out of the mess on the counter. Nate posted instructions on how to create this handy addition to my kitchen here.
Check out what SOME teenaged boys are doing these days…..
